We found the frame!

After debating the potential for frame longevity, even after repairs, we decided it was in our best interest to scrap the whole frame due to such heavy corrosion.
Instead, we discovered this hot-dipped galvanized frame for our YJ. We still haven’t determined what engine and tranny set up we’ll be using, but this frame is a great foundation to start with and should serve for many years to come.
is the frame completely new? where did you find it?
thanks for the info…

Hi Munz… Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. The frame was actually picked up from a gentleman in Cedar Springs, Michigan that happens to be a major Jeep enthusiast and fabricator – the Jeeps he builds are some of the finest I’ve seen. I happened to be doing some ceramic coatings (my professional trade) for his exhaust system when I told him of the unusable condition of my old frame. He then showed me his inventory that included the frame you’re inquiring about. This gentleman happens to be a contractor that builds large steel and concrete buildings – he had sent some structural steel to Detroit to be hot-dipped galvanized and asked the company owner if he could throw in the YJ frame as part of the deal. The next thing you know the frame is in the back of my pick up truck and I’m headed back to Kalamazoo. I’m very happy with the frame, it fits my engine requirements and is built to last. Makes one wonder if you could be in the business of building hot-dipped galvanized frames. Oh yeah, the frame is off a 94 -same year I wanted… I’m very lucky! Of course, I didn’t strike gold at first – I worked through other frames off ebay that were determined to be unsuitable for my long distance reliability and longevity. Fact is they were bent and sold by faceless names.
